(AP Photo) McKinley Dead at 23Broncos second-year WR Kenny McKinley was found dead in his Denver-area home on Monday evening from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was 23. According to reports, he was found in the master bedroom by a female friend and his son. McKinley was the Broncos fifth-round pick of last year's draft and showed some promise, but struggled with injuries in his brief career. He was placed on the IR this year after injuring his knee in the first week of training camp. Broncos coach Josh McDaniels, who fought through tears at a press conference today, said that there was no indication that the young player was suicidal through his interactions in the past few weeks. Teammate Wesley Woodyard echoed those sentiments, stating that McKinley was his normal, upbeat self as of late. McKinley came out of South Carolina has broken most of its major receiving records. He left as the all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards, second in touchdowns and third in SEC history with 207 career catches. He returned 7 kicks for 158 yards and recorded three special teams' tackles. McDaniels said the team plans to honor their fallen teammate by observing a moment of silence and will wear #11 decals on their helmets this Sunday against Indianapolis. McKinley is the 10th NFL player to die since 2007 and the third Broncos player in the last four years. RB Damien Nash collapsed and died at a charity basketball game in 2007 and CB Darrent Williams was shot and killed in an infamous shooting outside of a Denver nightclub on New Year's 2007. Bush Out Six WeeksReggie Bush's terrible second half of 2010 continued Monday night. After scoring on a six-yard TD pass from Drew Brees on the Saints opening drive and returning a punt for 43 yards on the final play of the third quarter, Bush broke his fibula after muffing a punt with 6:58 left in the contest. He was carted to the locker room and is expected to miss up to six weeks of action. Edwards Arrested, Charged with DWI Jets WR Braylon Edwards was arrested in New York City for driving while intoxicated, NYPD officials said. Edwards' Landrover was pulled over in Manhattan's west side around 5:15 AM today for excessive tint and missing registration stickers. Police allegedly noticed the strong scent of alcohol. He was administered a breathalyzer test and blew a .16, which is twice the legal limit. According to officials, there were four unidentified persons in the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop. Edwards came off of a strong performance in which he caught five passes and a TD in the Jets 28-14 win over the rival Patriots on Sunday. Edwards was placed on 18 months' probation in January stemming from a disorderly conduct plea outside a nightclub in Cleveland where he punched a friend of NBA player Lebron James. Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum said that Edwards displayed "poor judgment" and noted that the club has a program where players can arrange for transportation if they have had too much to drink. At this time, there is no word of any pending disciplinary action by the Jets or the NFL at this time.
